St. Vincent de Paul Church hosted the first Liturgy in Celebration and Gratitude for supporters of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The liturgy, celebrated by Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger, recognized supporters whose contributions have made a significant impact on Catholic Charities, and the communities which Catholic Charities serves.
“At the end of the day, it’s about serving those who come to Catholic Charities for help,” said Vincent W. Colonno, Catholic Charities CEO. “To be able to recognize, and celebrate with, the people in our community who support our mission in our 14 counties is something that’s really special.”
Students from Bishop Maginn High School also took part, serving as lectors and ushers for the evening.
