DCMO BOCES students create Nativity scene for the Pastoral Center
The Pastoral Center in Albany has a new Nativity scene and the stable is courtesy of DCMO BOCES. Erina Dacey, senior HR administrative assistant at the Pastoral Center, was put in charge of the lobby decorations, realized the center didn’t have a stable large enough to house the figurines and called in a family favor. Dacey’s sister, Sonnet Constable, works for DCMO(Delaware, Chenango, Madison and Otsego Counties) BOCES as the work-experience coordinator. Dacey asked her if the carpentry department could make a stable for the Pastoral Center. Constable then asked Steven Davis, the carpentry instructor, who offered a resounding yes! Andrew Marconi and Jacob Ruff (inset) worked on the stable, which now is displayed prominently at the Center. Both received a thank-you letter from Father David LeFort, vicar general of the Diocese of Albany, and gift cards from Dunkin’ Donuts. (Photos provided)
