MOVING TOWARD DIACONATE

FUTURE DEACONS CELEBRATED the Rite of Admission to Candidacy for Holy Orders last weekend in a ceremony held at St. Joseph's Provincial House in Latham. In this rite, candidates offer themselves to God and the Church, an official recognition of a vocation. Candidates and their wives, if they're married, attend a retreat before the ceremony. Celebrating the Rite of Candidacy were James Agnew, Craig Dempsey and Thomas Poznanski; celebrating the Rite of Lector were Paul LeBlanc, Nicholas Ascioti, Ramon Bonifacio, Paul Cerosaletti, Martin Dinan, Ron Dombrowski, Bernard McConaghy, John Morley and Aaron Tremblay.(Nate Whitchurch photos)
