Two events of note took place in the Albany Diocese Aug. 25:
• At Our Lady of Hope parish in Fort Plain, DEACON JOSEPH CECHNICKI was installed as the new parish life coordinator at a 4 p.m. Mass, with BISHOP EDWARD B. SCHARFENBERGER officiating; and
• Christian Brothers Academy in Albany took on the Blackbirds of Voorheesville in a varsity soccer game at The University at Albany, with donations accepted to support the Alzheimer’s Association.
