St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph’s parish in Rensselaer sponsored a day trip to Our Lady of Ephesus House of Prayer in Jamaica, Vt., as well as a “pound party” — a potluck dinner and auction of mystery gifts weighing a pound — organized by the Rosary Altar Society....

Sacred Heart in Lake George recalled the beginnings of the local HARK ministry, which helps feed children in need. A recent collection resulted in 911 food items and $220 donated.

Fulton County had an interfaith tea in which St. Joseph’s in Broadalbin and St. Francis of Assisi in Northville participated. St. Joseph’s Altar Rosary Society sponsored “a creative Rosary for the unity of Christians” in October....

Holy Trinity parish in Johns­town and Holy Spirit in Glovers­ville celebrated Friday’s Table, a ministry serving hot meals to people in the community who are in need. A dozen teams help out. Holy Spirit also had a trip to Syracuse to visit the ST. MARIANNE COPE shrine and museum.

Holy Spirit parish dedicated its parish center to the late REV. MICHAEL CLEMENTE, a native son who was an extremely generous donor....

St. Joseph’s parish in Schenectady participated in a bowl-a-thon to help parishioner RON GIESIN, who has pancreatitis....

St. Michael’s parish in Cohoes is planning its annual Thanksgiving Day polka Mass with the Kosek Family and Friends Band, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m.

Parishioners can bring canned goods or non-perishable food items that will be forwarded to the Cohoes Food Pantry, located at Holy Trinity parish in Cohoes, and will receive in return a loaf of blessed bread for their Thanksgiving Day dinner.

St. Michael’s is having another “souper Saturday movie night” Nov. 17 after 4 p.m. Mass, showing “Mary of Nazareth” and serving a free soup supper to prepare for Advent....

An annual apple pie fundraiser by Our Lady of the Valley parish in Middleburgh made 387 apple and apple-cranberry pies and earned $ 2,145.63 to put toward new chairs for the church hall....

At St. Mary’s in Cooperstown, the annual potato/turnip drive collected 1,000 pounds of food for area food banks in Burlington Flats, Cherry Valley, Cooperstown and Hartwick.
