Immaculate Conception parish in Glenville has received a gift of $10,000 from an anonymous parishioner to be used for building a new entrance to the parish center and repairing the hall.

Immaculate Conception’s Knights of Columbus Council 10013 cleaned a mile of Route 50. Choir member MIKE BELOTTI played the lead in “Young Frankenstein” at the Little Theater in in Saratoga Springs....

St. Ann’s in Fort Ann and Our Lady of Hope in Whitehall note that OLH is open 7 a.m.- 8 p.m.; St. Ann’s, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. “Praying is a great way to start your workday or to spend some quiet time in God’s house. There are many pamphlets and prayers available on a variety of subjects, and we encourage you to share these items with others who may be in need of some extra comfort,” the parishes noted.

St. Ann’s had a Sunday-evening social in October, as it does the third Sunday of every month, with a potluck dinner....

St. Henry’s parish in Averill Park thanked its Knights of Columbus for serving the Church and community for 25 years....

Our Lady of Victory parish in Troy had a fundraising breakfast in October for people in need in Haiti, with a speaker and a storyteller who addressed those needs....

St. Joseph’s parish in Troy had a Mass and veneration in October with relics of “the saints of the Roman Canon,” including Apostles. It was the only such presentation in New York State....

St. Clement’s parish in Saratoga Springs is having a day of reflection Nov. 17 titled, “Blessed Are You,” led by spiritual director REV. RICHARD BENNETT, CSSR.  Contact [email protected] by Nov. 13.

REV. ED FALISKIE, CSSR, is now overseeing St. Clement’s. The Redemptorist priest told parishioners he’s from Pennsylvania, one of six children, and has a degree in business management from the University of Scranton. He worked as a billing manager before religious life and has served in an inner-city parish in Baltimore, as province vocation director, in the West Indies and other parishes, and in leadership for his religious order. Having filled in at St. Clement’s when a pastor was ill, he said, he came to love the parish and its people....

St. Paul the Apostle parish in Hancock received a request from Hancock’s Emergency Committee about what the parish could provide in a crisis. The parish responded that it could be a house of prayer, offer its parish hall and DeSerio Center as shelters for displaced people, possibly be a staging area for emergency personnel and offer its parking lots to accommodate multiple vehicles or a small tent village. “We also have ready access to Catholic psychiatrists, counselors and therapists at no charge from our diocesan Consultation Center, (518) 489-4431, who could be present to assist us through a tragedy,” the parish added....

St. Mary’s in Glens Falls congratulated ROSARY SOLIMANTE on her 90th birthday, calling her a “daily communicant and prayer warrior,” and wished a happy 55th wedding anniversary to JOE AND ALICE SULLIVAN. The parish just hung up a portrait of BLESSED STANLEY ROTHER, an American priest who was martyred in Guatemala and recently beatified by Pope Francis. He attended the seminary at the same time as REV. ROBERT HOHENSTEIN, a retired priest of the Diocese who helps out at St. Mary’s....

Blessed Sacrament in Bolton Landing announced a Mass schedule time change: The parish has returned to its winter schedule, with one Sunday Mass at 11 a.m. and no Saturday vigil. It listed the fall Mass schedule at area churches: Sacred Heart in Lake George has a 5:30 p.m. Saturday vigil Mass and 10 a.m. Sunday Mass; St. Isaac Jogues in Chestertown has a 5:30 p.m. Saturday vigil and 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass; and St. Cecilia’s in Warrensburg has a 4:30 p.m. Saturday vigil and a 10 a.m. Sunday Mass....

Holy Trinity parish in Cohoes had an evening of eucharistic adoration and prayer for the healing of victims of sexual abuse by the clergy....

All Saints on the Hudson parish in Mechanicville/Stillwater notes that the summer chapel of St. Isaac Jogues on Saratoga Lake has a new project: replacing the walkway from the road to the front doors with paving stones parishioners can have engraved in memory of loved ones.
