OBITUARY
Sister Ann Therese Flynn, CSJ
A funeral Mass was offered May 22 in the chapel of St. Joseph’s Provincial House, Latham, for Sister Ann Therese Flynn, who died May 14. She was 98 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 70 years.
A native of Albany, before entering religious life she worked for 10 tears as a clerk for Harmanus Bleecker Library, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) and the NYS Department of Corrections. Then, for nearly 50 years, she taught in schools in the Albany and Syracuse Dioceses, including 12 years at St. Jude School in Wynantskill. In addition, she was a home visitor in Syracuse, and coordinator of transportation at St. Joseph’s Provincial House.
Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.
