OBITUARY
Sister Mary Johanna Ryan, CSJ
A funeral Mass was offered May 14 in the chapel of St. Joseph’s Provincial House, Latham, for Sister Mary Johanna Ryan, who died May 10. She was 73 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 54 years.
A native of Syracuse, she served for 45 years at St. Mary’s Hospital/St. Mary’s Healthcare, Amsterdam, as a staff nurse, director of quality assurance and risk management, enterostomal therapy nurse, staff development instructor and nursing application coordinator. In addition, she served in the infirmary at St. Joseph’s Provincial House as staff nurse and charge nurse.
Survivors include her brothers, Thomas, Daniel and Robert, all of Camillus, N.Y. Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.
