OBITUARY
Sister James Miriam Koeppe, CSJ
A funeral Mass was offered May 8 in the chapel of St. Joseph’s Provincial House, Latham, for Sister James Miriam Koeppe, who died May 4. She was 89 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 69 years.
A native of Albany, she taught in elementary schools for 49 years in the Albany and Syracuse Dioceses and, in retirement, volunteered as a driver to take sisters to appointments and served in the Provincial House’s business office.
Survivors include a sister, Regina Schanz of Watervliet. Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.
