Sacred Heart School in Troy (pictured) celebrated “Beach Day” in preparation for summer vacation. Students brought in beach towels, sunglasses and more, played a game with a beach ball, read the story “Pete the Cat and His Magical Sunglasses,” had ice pops and made watercolor pictures of beach balls.

SAMANTHA SIMMONS of Mechanicville High School and JAKE RICHARDSON of Stillwater High are new co-presidents of the youth council at All Saints on the Hudson parish in Mechanicville/Stillwater. The council offers peer leadership with the assistance of an adult core team that empowers young people to be disciples of Jesus. Twenty-five members are part of this year’s high school graduating class.
