AN ANNUAL NOVENA to St. Anne, the mother of Mary, was offered last weekend at St. Augustine's parish in Troy, along with a celebration of St. Anne de Beaupre's July 26 feast day.
"The spirit St. Anne de Beaupre, right here at St. Augustine's," declared the bulletin in announcing the city-wide novena.
The event also included a procession and benediction; it drew Catholics from all over with a devotion to St. Anne, the mother of Mary.
