At Immaculate Conception in Glenville, parishioner REAR ADM. TIMOTHY ZAKRISKI took command of the 2,800-member New York Naval Militia during a ceremony in Schodack. The Naval Militia is part of the state Division of Military and Naval Affairs; it is comprised of current Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Reserve members who agree to serve on state active duty when called upon.

Teens from Immaculate Conception parish in Glenville can attend Camp Esther, a “pro-life boot camp” at the Good News Center in Utica, through scholarships sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
