WRITING ICONS: ART AND PRAYER

A WORKSHOP AT ST. MARY'S parish in Coxsackie taught beginners how to write an icon of Our Lady of Fatima or the face of Christ. Michele Sisak led participants in learning the ancient form of art and prayer; icons are considered to be "written," not painted.
