Website busy for TV shows
The web site was introduced just before "Disciples, Together in Faith" aired at 8 p.m. from April 10-12.
"During the first two days of the retreat, more than 50 percent of the traffic for the entire day was between 8 and 11 p.m. People did definitely visit the diocesan web site," he said.
There were 351 hits on the diocesan web site between 8 and 9 p.m. on the first two days of the retreat, and 300 hits between 9 and 10 p.m. on the first two days. (Numbers for the third day of the Bishop's retreat were unavailable due to problems with the web server that day.)
More than 100 people downloaded or viewed the facilitator's guide for groups viewing the Bishop's retreat together, or transcripts of his remarks, Mr. Schwab pointed out. There were also a handful of e-mail messages to the diocesan web site, all of which praised the retreat.
In addition to being printed in this week's issue of The Evangelist, the texts of the Bishop's TV retreat appear on the web site for those who missed the TV shows or who want to study his words more deeply.
