VOCATION NOTES
* Bishop Howard J. Hubbard will travel to Baltimore April 17 to ORDAIN Guy Anthony Childs, a deacon at St. Mary's Seminary, where he is studying for the priesthood. Also making the trip are priests of the Albany Diocese and Mr. Childs' family and friends. He will spend his diaconate year at the seminary.* Two NEW RESOURCES are available from the Albany diocesan Vocations Office:
1. a re-edited version of "Call and Response: Opportunities in Religious Congregations and the Diocesan Priesthood," a 1996 booklet prepared by the diocesan Vocation Awareness Council that includes information on the diocesan priesthood and on 16 religious communities of men and women; and
2. "Vocations Choices for Catholics," a pamphlet listing the various ways priests, women religious, deacons, brothers, married persons and single persons are called to follow Christ. The pamphlet includes an explanation of what each lifestyle involves and what kind of service work an individual may be called to.
Both resources are available by calling 453-6670.
