TABLE OF THE LORD
Televised Mass moves to new time, channel
Catholics throughout most of the Diocese's 14 counties now will be able to view "Table of the Lord" each Sunday at 7 a.m. on CW15, which is available on most area cable television systems on Channel 15. Viewers who don't have cable TV can see the Mass on Channel 45-1.
The Mass will continue to be rebroadcast at different times later on in the day on Sundays on various public access channels throughout most of the Diocese. That schedule will not change (see the ad and calendar on page 17).
Until now, "Table of the Lord" was broadcast on WXXA-TV, FOX-23, at 6:30 a.m. on Sundays (Time Warner Cable channel 8). The move to CW15 provides the Diocese with a slightly later, more convenient airtime for viewers.
Many Catholics who are elderly or have disabilities that make it difficult to attend Mass at a local parish on a weekly basis watch "Table of the Lord." The televised Mass is produced at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Watervliet; video production of "Table of the Lord" is by Capital Region Digital of Clifton Park.
