SNAPSHOT OF DIOCESE
Special issue: 14 parish profiles
This week's issue contains 14 articles or photo stories about parishes, one for each county in the Albany Diocese. For example, Schenectady County is covered by a photo story previewed in the picture above.
The Evangelist is offering this special issue as part of our on-going coverage of Called to be Church, the two-year-long effort announced by Bishop Howard J. Hubbard in June (go to www.evangelist.org and click on "Called to be Church" for additional details).
In the profiles, presented alphabetically by county on pages 2-15, we look at many aspects of parish life: leadership by priests, deacons and parish life directors; the efforts of volunteers; the contributions of music ministers; and what ordinary parishioners do.
Taken together, the profiles offer a snapshot of Catholics in the Albany Diocese.
