Sister Rosita Joseph Finnerty, CSJ

A funeral Mass was offered Dec. 19 in the chapel of St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, for Sister Rosita Joseph Finnerty, who died Dec. 15. She was 88 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 70 years.

A native of Utica, she taught for 31 years at schools in the Albany and Syracuse Dioceses, including St. Mary's Academy in Glens Falls, St. Francis de Sales School in Herkimer and St. James School in Albany. In 1978, she began a second career in pastoral ministry in four parishes in the Syracuse Diocese.

Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.[[In-content Ad]]
