Sister Mary Louise Wiesenforth, RSM

A funeral Mass was offered Oct. 27 in the chapel of Sacred Heart Convent, Belmont, NC, for Sister Mary Louise Wiesenforth, who died Oct. 22. She was 100 and had been a Sister of Mercy for 82 years.

A native of Troy, she devoted most of her eight decades of ministry to elementary education and administration in North Carolina, Long Island, Florida and Guam. In 1946, she helped establish a community of Sisters of Mercy in Guam and served there for 19 years as a teacher and formation director. [[In-content Ad]]
