Sister Mary Ancilla Leary, CSJ

A funeral Mass was offered Jan. 21 in the chapel of St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, for Sister Mary Ancilla Leary, who died Jan. 19. She was 98 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 80 years.

A native of Glens Falls, she taught in the Albany Diocese for 17 years, including at St. Joseph's High School, Schenectady, and The College of Saint Rose, Albany; was principal at St. Mary's Academy, Glens Falls; and founded the Carondelet Educational Center, Latham, where she was the director for 21 years. She was also an educational consultant for the Albany Diocese.

Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.[[In-content Ad]]
