Sister Margaret Mary O'Rourke, SA

A funeral Mass was offered July 25 in St. Francis Convent Chapel at Graymoor, Garrison, N.Y., for Sister Margaret Mary O'Rourke, who died July 18. She was 86 and had been a Franciscan Sister of the Atonement for 68 years.

A native of Detroit, she served the elderly, homebound and hospitalized at St. Mary's parish in Amsterdam for 23 years; she also served in catechetical, parish and pastoral ministries in Schenectady, Corinth, Canajoharie, Rotterdam and Scotia, as well as in other parishes throughout the United States.

Survivors include her siblings, Nancy Lengyel, Carol Livingston and Edward and William O'Rourke. Interment was in the sisters' cemetery at Graymoor.[[In-content Ad]]
