OBITUARY
Sister M. Catharine Ryan, CSJ
A native of Plattsburgh, she first taught in high schools of the Albany and Syracuse Dioceses. In 1956, she began a 28-year career at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, where she served as professor of history and political science, director of the Degree Program for Experienced Adults and executive director of the National Federation of Carondelet Colleges. She later served as area superintendent of schools for the southern region of the Syracuse Diocese; pastoral manager of St. Ambrose parish, Latham; associate director of housing and social policy for the Sisters of St. Joseph; and director of the Catholic School Administrators of New York State.
Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.[[In-content Ad]]
