Sister Joan Walsh, CR

A funeral Mass was offered April 26 at the Sisters of the Resurrection Provincialate Chapel, Castleton, for Sister Joan Walsh, who died April 21. She was 82 and had been a Sister of the Resurrection for 57 years.

A native of Yonkers, she taught in schools in the Archdiocese of New York and at Immaculate Conception in Watervliet and St. Joseph's in Herkimer, and served as provincial superior for her order from 1986-92 and as administrator of Resurrection Nursing Home from 1992-2000.

Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Castleton.[[In-content Ad]]
