OBITUARY
Sister Jeanne Anne Collis, CSJ
A native of Utica, she worked for six years as a fleet rater at Utica Mutual Insurance Company and served during World War II as a Gray Lady with the Red Cross volunteers. She taught for 22 years in schools of the Albany and Syracuse Dioceses and in Hawaii, including St. Bernard's Academy, Cohoes; and St. James School, Albany. During 32 years in Hawaii, she was also an administrative assistant, vicar for religious, assistant diocesan chancellor and associate director of the diaconate program. In 1995, she became pastoral care coordinator at St. Joseph's Provincial House.
Survivors include her siblings, Marjorie Cahill and Dorothy Lawless of Utica and Richard of Annandale, Va. Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.[[In-content Ad]]
