Sister Jean Ellen Bellswinger, SNJM

A funeral Mass was offered July 20 in the chapel of St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, for Sister Jean Ellen Bellswinger, who died July 15. She was 86 and had been a Sister of the Holy Names for 62 years.

A native of Albany, she taught in the Syracuse and Albany Dioceses, including in Cohoes, and in Florida and Virginia, and coordinated the Campaign for Human Development in the Syracuse Diocese.

Survivors include a sister, Marcia Von Stetina. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.[[In-content Ad]]
