Sister James Christine Steppello

A funeral Mass was offered Feb. 26 in the chapel of St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, for Sister James Christine Steppello, who died Feb. 22. She was 83 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 65 years.

A native of Detroit, Mich., she taught for 42 years in schools in the Albany and Syracuse Dioceses, including Keveny Memorial Academy, Cohoes and St. Mary's School, Little Falls. She also worked in the Medical Records Department at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica and as receptionist at the Provincial House. Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.[[In-content Ad]]
