OBITUARY
Sister Frances Murphy, RSCJ
A native of Westerly, R.I., she taught at her order's convents in Grosse Pointe, Mich.; in Albany at Kenwood; and in New York City. For 10 years, she was on the faculty and administration at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Noroton, Conn. She taught again at Kenwood in Albany and Manhattanville College in Purchase in the 1960s and served in other positions in Connecticut and New York. She was chaplain at Sloan-Kettering Hospital in New York City and spent 20 years as a finance assistant for the Doane Stuart School and Kenwood Convent, retiring in 1997.
Interment was in Kenwood Convent Cemetery, Albany.[[In-content Ad]]
