Sister Evelyn McCarte, DC

A funeral Mass was offered March 8 at DePaul House Chapel, Menands, for Sister Evelyn McCarte, who died March 5. She was 80 and had been a Daughter of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul for 62 years.

A native of Melrose, Mass., she served in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York, including at St. Catherine Center's for Children in Albany, St. Vincent's House in Albany and Sacred Heart in Cohoes. She was also in leadership for her religious order.

Survivors include her sisters, Kay and Margie. Interment was in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.[[In-content Ad]]
