Sister Esther Thomas Sexton, CSJ

A funeral Mass was offered Oct. 20 in the chapel of St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, for Sister Esther Thomas Sexton, who died Oct. 14. She was 84 and had been a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 54 years.

A native of Syracuse, she worked 11 years for the New York Telephone Company before entering religious life. As a sister, she was a teacher and principal in the Syracuse Diocese and spiritual life coordinator in parishes there, and was a member of the CSJ House of Prayer in Walton.

Survivors include her sister, Patricia Sexton of Syracuse. Interment was in Our Lady Queen of Virgins Cemetery, Latham.[[In-content Ad]]
