Sister Elaine Wheeler, DC

A funeral Mass was offered Jan. 24 in the DePaul House chapel, Menands, for Sister Elaine Wheeler, who died Jan. 18. She was 97 and had been a Daughter of Charity for 78 years.

A native of New York City, she taught for 24 years in Troy and Albany, including at Cardinal McCloskey High School in Albany, and also in Delaware. For 26 years, she was archivist for her order and assisted others worldwide. Interment was in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.[[In-content Ad]]
