Sister Catherine Witte, DC

A funeral Mass was offered Sept. 5 in the DePaul House chapel, Menands, for Sister Catherine Witte, who died Sept. 3. She was 94 and had been a Daughter of Charity for 66 years.

A native of Utica, she served in health care in Bridgeport, Boston, Jacksonville, Saginaw, Southfield, Buffalo, Dorchester and Troy, including as head of nursing schools and as a pastoral care chaplain at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy.

Survivors include a brother, Laurence. Interment was in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. [[In-content Ad]]
