Sister Carol Ryan, SNJM

A funeral Mass was offered Dec. 18 in the chapel of St. Joseph's Provincial House, Latham, for Sister Carol Ryan, who died Dec. 14. She was 96 and had been a Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary for 78 years.

A native of the Albany Diocese, she taught in Washington, D.C., Florida and Rome, N.Y., then spent decades as music teacher, choir director and music department chair at the Academy of the Holy Names and The Arts Center in Albany.
