Seton Health goes on-line for patients
Visitors to the new Seton Health web site can select a doctor at a convenient location, find out about free health screenings, and learn about special programs, such as cardiac rehabilitation, incontinence treatment and wound care. The site's address is www.setonhealth.org.
The web sit houses information on all of the health system's services and locations and also provides background information, such as press releases and executive biographies. It will begin listing job openings in the near future.
"Many people don't realize how big Seton Health is, and the internet is an ideal medium for showing how much we have to offer to people throughout the Capital Region," said Pamela Rehak, vice president of Planning and Community Health "We intend this web site to be an extension of our mission of providing accessible health services to the whole community."
The "Select a Doctor" feature lets visitors to the site obtain educational and specialty information on the physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at Seton Health's 16 primary care and dental practices.
The feature can also be accessed through a map with hyperlinks, so people looking for a doctor can see a primary care office location in relation to where they live or work.
Seton Health is a comprehensive, integrated health care system anchored by St. Mary's Hospital. It provides health care services from 22 sites in Rensselaer, Albany, Saratoga and Schenectady counties.
