SCHOOLS WEEK SCHEDULE
• a Jan. 31 Mass with Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger at 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany, honoring the 23 Catholic schools of the Diocese and their students; and
• immediately afterward, an unveiling of the annual diocesan art show and a reception at the South Gallery of the Empire State Plaza in Albany, displaying art by students.
At the Albany Mass, awards for service will be presented to teachers, principals and staff from area Catholic schools. Watch next week's issue of The Evangelist for photos.
Catholic Schools Week is a joint project of the National Catholic Educational Association and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. The theme for Catholic Schools Week 2016 is, "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service." Schools observe the week with liturgies, open houses and activities.
