Schedule of Events
The Chapel and Cultural Center at RPI hosts a variety of art, music, poetry and theater:
* The art gallery is currently exhibiting "Uncovered Treasures" -- Latin American art by a number of artists, curated by the Martinez Gallery in Troy. The exhibit will be up until February.
* On Feb. 7, 8 p.m., former Small Axe bassist Jimbo Burton will present a drum and bass concert accompanied by video from Sleight of Hand Productions.
* On March 4, 7:30 p.m., nationally known poet Alice Fulton, a Troy native and Catholic Central High alumna, will read from her work.
* Acclaimed violinist Deni Bonet, formerly of the radio show "Mountain Stage" on National Public Radio, will perform with her band on April 11 at 8 p.m.
* "Loop Sanctuary: The Art of the Dreamscape" will be exhibited during April, with works by Marie Triller, Carol Luce, Dennis Herbert and G.C. Haymes.
* On April 25, 8 p.m., "Ambient Night at the C&CC" will include a concert and video presentation with Sara Ayers, Mindspawn and Dreamstate.
* Client art from the Roarke Center in Troy, curated by Sister Loretta Hoag, DC, will be on exhibit in May.
* December will bring Greek drama to the C&CC: "The Trojan Women" by Bertrand Fay. (For information, call 274-7793.) (KB)
