OBITUARY
Rev. Venant Lalonde, OFM
A native of Ilion, he served in the U.S. Navy before entering religious life, then served at a parish in New York City, as a missionary for 15 years in Bolivia, for 17 years with the Apostolate of the Sea as a navigator for the Merchant Marine, and at other parishes in New York City and Oklahoma.
Survivors include siblings Jerome Lalonde of Clinton and Margaret Byrne of Dallas, Texas. Interment was in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Butler, N.J.[[In-content Ad]]
