Rev. Abbott James Hope

A funeral Mass was offered Aug. 19 at St. Augustine's Church, Troy, for Rev. Abbott James Hope, who died Aug. 12. He was 91 and had been a priest of the Diocese of Camden, N.J., for 59 years.

A native of Troy, he served with the Seabees in World War II and ministered in many parishes in the Camden Diocese. Survivors include a brother, Leo, of Troy. Interment was in St. Peter's Cemetery, Troy.[[In-content Ad]]
