Respect Life Mass set
In a letter to parishes about the observance of Respect Life Month during October, Bishop Hubbard asked them to "celebrate the sacredness of all human life in your parish" and suggested planning events to honor life throughout the year.
The bishop noted that to assist those who have suffered the experience of abortion, the Albany Diocese is instituting Project Rachel, which "seeks to help those wounded by abortion during their healing journey."
In his encyclical "The Gospel of Life," Pope John Paul II also urged those who have struggled with life issues such as abortion not to lose hope in God, saying: "The Father of mercies is ready to give you His forgiveness and His peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation."
