RENOVATIONS PLANNED FOR 20 YEARS came to fruition at St. Mary's parish in Oneonta as Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger helped to rededicate the church last weekend. St. Mary's has been repainted and added new lighting, sound and heating systems; new windows; larger aisles with accessibility for persons with disabilities; a new daily Mass chapel; and two restrooms.

Pictured are the procession into the packed church for the rededication ceremony by Bishop Scharfenberger, assisted by Rev. David Mickiewicz, pastor; and the Bishop pointing at the cross during his homily.
