'MINI-ME' IN COXSACKIE

REV. SCOTT VANDERVEER got the surprise of his life when altar server Luke Hassett arrived at St. Mary's parish in Coxsackie having decided to dress as his pastor for Halloween. Luke served the 7:30 a.m. Mass on Oct. 29 in full costume.

"Father Scott thought Luke meant [he'd dress as] a priest and not literally Father Scott," reported Luke's mother, Pamela, adding: "The parishioners laughed with great joy."

Father VanDerveer took the experience in stride, noting that "my smaller self even shaved a bald spot on his head! What a hilarious day to remember!"[[In-content Ad]]
