ME facts
* Marriage Encounter began in 1968. Since its beginning, more than two million couples in 87 countries have participated in ME weekends.
* Weekends are available to all couples regardless of their ability to pay. A non-refundable registration fee of $50 is required. During the weekend, couples are asked to contribute what they can to the cost of the weekend.
* While weekends are presented by Catholic couples and a priest, they are not limited to Catholics. Couples from all faiths are encouraged to attend.
* The weekends are for those who want to enrich their marriages. They are not designed to deal with specific problems or issues. Marriage Encounter is not professional counseling and does not deal with past issues in a marriage. It is not a marriage clinic, sensitivity course or retreat. Rather, it is a simple, common-sense experience that revitalizes a marriage.
