Many aspects under review
The process began in this part of the Diocese because Holy Spirit School in East Greenbush has serious space needs. Its enrollment in 1991/92 was 156; this year, its at 244.
"Our enrollment is mushrooming so," said Sister Maureen Moffitt, CSJ, principal and convener of the physical resources committee. The planning process was a good thing for the schools of this area, she added.
"The process is positive," she said. "I've gotten to know people of other parishes and have been impressed by the dedication to Catholic education."
These committees will continue to meet during the summer. They will present initial proposals in September, with revisions done in October and final recommendations made to Bishop Howard J. Hubbard in November. Open meetings will also be held. (MM)
