Letter to (not) Santa
Dear Father Tom,
I wrote this letter by myself for you to put in the bulletin. Mommy did help with some spelling. I would read it out loud if you wanted me to, because I am pretty funny at the microphone.
Love,
Caoimhghin
Hi, my name is Caoimhghin Michael Williams. I am six years old. I go to St. Jude the Apostle school and am in the first grade. I also go to St. Henry's parish in Averill Park. I wanted people to know why I think they should go to Mass every Sunday as a family.
1. Because it is the Lord's day.
2. Because even when you are bold, God loves you anyway.
3. Because you get to celebrate the Lord's Supper with your whole family.
4. Sometimes Father Tom and Father Brucker can be pretty silly.
5. You make new friends with kids and bigger kids (adults).
6. After some Masses, you get doughnuts. Yummy!
7. You might get to carry the basket. That is always fun!
8. You get to listen to Bible stories.
9. We sing hymns. A lot. I love to sing songs about God, like, "Go Tell It on the Mountain," "We Three Kings," "Amazing Grace" and "Lord of the Dance."
10. They love to see families, big or small, quiet or a little or even sometimes extra noisy. They don't mind if you fidget. They will always give you knuckles or a high-five after Mass.
So, come join us at St. Henry's parish![[In-content Ad]]
