John J. Totten

A funeral service was offered July 6 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Home, Saratoga, for John J. Totten, who died June 17. He was 82.

A native of Saratoga Springs, he retired from The Saratogian newspaper after 67 years of service; he had also served in the U.S. Army, including during the Cold War. Survivors include his wife, Katherine; siblings, Sister Margaret, CSJ, of Latham, and Thomas of Ballston Lake; and stepsons Gregory and Wayne Cherry of Saratoga Springs.
