James H. Lenden Jr.

A funeral Mass was offered Oct. 31 at St. Mary's Church, Albany, for James H. Lenden Jr., who died Oct. 28. A Delmar resident, he had served in the U.S. Navy and founded Electronic Business Systems; he was a pioneer in the telecommunications industry, in which he was still working at the time of his death. He also sang with the Fort Orange Club Singers and the Mendelssohn Club of Albany. He had been a board member for The Evangelist since 1996.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joanne Weiss Lenden; his children, Darcy and Stephen Immerman of Peabody, Mass., Sheila and Michael Hart of Glenmont, James H. Lenden III and Davina of Delmar, Katrina and Worthing Jackman of Houston, and Keith and Julie Lenden of San Carlos, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, Eric and Edward Immerman; Kate, Dan and James Hart (Amanda Brady Hart); Cabot, Cooper and Kelsey Jackman; James H.
