How they view priesthood
Along with the other two priests marking their silver anniversaries, he was asked to share some reflections on his 25 years in the priesthood.
"Walking with others at times of death and crisis," he continued, "has brought me into closer relationships with families. Likewise, they have been there to minister to me in my times of loss and difficulty."
To Rev. Vincent Ciotoli, "it has been a distinct privilege to be a priest. As each day passes, I recognize what a gift it has been, and I pray that I will use this gift appropriately in service to Jesus, His Gospel and His people."
Asked his most memorable moment as a priest, he replied: "The celebration of the Eucharist, which provides a close moment to Christ."
Agreeing with that was Rev. Peter Russo, who commented on "the great joy the celebration of the Eucharist gives me. Not only is the Eucharist the keystone of my personal spiritual journey, but it is also the source and summit of all that we are called to be as Church."
Father Ciotoli added that "I would recommend this vocation to others. If Christ is calling and you take time to hear that call, you cannot do anything else but respond positively. He will not let you down!"
