CAMPAIGN FUNDS
Grants aid parish programming
The Albany diocesan Office of Evangelization and Catechesis (OEC) has announced the 2006-2007 Capital Campaign Grants for Rural and Urban Parish Catechetical and Youth Ministry Programs:
* $20,000 to St. Patrick's, Cambridge, and Holy Cross, Salem, for a full-time youth ministry/adult faith formation leader;
* $15,000 to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and Sacred Heart, Gloversville, for part-time staffing of the Generations of Faith program and audio-visual equipment;
* $12,000 to St. Stanislaus parish, Amsterdam, for a part-time professional catechetical leader;
* $8,000 to St. John Francis Regis, Grafton, and Sacred Heart, Berlin, for a part-time catechetical leader and secretarial assistance;
* $7,500 to St. Thomas, Cherry Valley, and its missions for a part-time professional catechetical/youth ministry leader; and
* $5,460 to St. Patrick's, Troy, for program support and supplies, catechist formation, retreats, sacramental program development, adult faith formation, youth ministry, and audio-visual equipment.
The grants are decided by the OEC Capital Campaign Committee: Rev. Geoffrey Burke, Sister Joan Curley, Rev. George Fleming, Jane Forget, Mary Harrison, Ruth Moon, Connie Smith, Rev. Peter Russo, Sister Kathleen Turley, Michelle Stefanik and Jeanne Schrempf.
