Future priests get parish assignments

Every year, men studying for the priesthood for the Albany Diocese are assigned to parishes for the summer or for a longer "pastoral year" in order to get real-life experience with parish life. The diocesan Office of Vicar for Vocations recently announced the summer placements and pastoral year assignments for both seminarians, who have been officially accepted for formation to the priesthood, and aspirants, who are in the application process.

•  Seminarian Joseph Aini will spend 2017-18 at Our Lady of Assumption parish in Latham.

•  Seminarian Samuel Bellafiore is assigned for the summer to Our Lady of Hope parish in Whitehall and St. Ann's in Fort Ann.

•  Aspirant Russell Bergman will spend 2017-18 at All Saints on the Hudson parish in Mechanicville/Stillwater.

•  Deacon Zach Chichester, a seminarian who will be ordained in 2018, is spending the summer at Mater Christi parish in Albany. Seminarian Daniel McHale is also assigned to Mater Christi for the summer.

•  Seminarian Matthew Duclos will be at St. Mary's parish in Coxsackie and St. Patrick's in Ravena for the summer before heading to the Pontifical North American College in Rome (see previous story at www.evan­gelist.org).

•  Seminarian Kyle Eads and aspirant Joseph Rossi are both at St. Paul's parish in Hancock for the summer.

•  Seminarian Adam Feisthamel will spend a pastoral year at Our Lady of Victory parish in Troy.

•  Seminarian Kyle Gorenski is spending the summer at Blessed Sacrament parish in Albany.

•  Seminarian Matthew Houle is assigned to Holy Trinity parish in Hudson/Germantown this summer.

•  Aspirant Matthew Jacob will be at St. Kateri Tekakwitha parish in Schenectady for a 2017-18 pastoral placement.

•  Aspirants Marcin Jankowski and Michael Twomey are assigned for the summer to Our Lady of the Valley parish in Middleburgh and Our Lady of Fatima in Delanson.

•  Seminarians Anthony Duyet Thanh Nguyen and Peter Thien Van Nguyen are completing a 2017-18 pastoral placement at Ss. Anthony and Joseph parish in Herkimer and St. John the Baptist in Newport while also residing in Flushing and taking courses at St. John's University in Queens (read a previous story at www.evangelist.org).

•  Seminarians Charles On­yeneke and Nate Resila are spending the summer at Holy Trinity parish in Cohoes.

•  Seminarian Robert Palyo will do his 2017-18 pastoral year at Corpus Christi parish in Round Lake.

•  Aspirant Jay Pregent is at St. Madeleine Sophie parish in Schen­ectady for a 2017-18 pas­toral placement.

•  Seminarian Stephen Yusko will be at St. Theresa's parish in Windham and Sacred Heart/Immaculate Conception in Haines Falls/Palenville this summer.[[In-content Ad]]
