CATHOLIC EDUCATION
Forums showcase schools
A series of forums on Catholic schools, titled "Brighter Tomorrows Starting Today," invites Capital Region residents to learn more about the state of Catholic education and to provide feedback on how the Albany diocesan Schools Office can work with the community.
Sister Jane Herb, superintendent, scheduled the meetings to "engage the community in the mission of Catholic education and provide a forum to meet the people behind the scenes at the schools and at the Schools Office."
She said the forums will also allow the staffs "to showcase and provide information regarding the quality education found at Catholic schools."
Not a fund-raising effort, the series is free, with light refreshments provided. The meetings will be held, 5-7:30 p.m.:
* August 21, Catholic Central High School, Troy;
* August 23, Bishop Maginn High School, Albany; and
* August 29, Saratoga Central Catholic High School, Saratoga Springs.
