Does Jesus qualify for list?
"After all, Jesus was a Jew: He was born a Jew; He lived as a Jew; He died a Jew," said Dr. Barnett. "To say that Jesus was a 'Christian' is to affirm historically that He proclaimed Himself to be the Messiah, an affirmation that most scholars today regard as highly dubious at best. Moreover, there appears to be nothing in Jesus's teaching or ministry that is not in keeping with the Judaism of His day. It is important for Christians to remember the Jewish roots and identity of their Lord." (JB)
